Last Saturday I hosted another workshop, being the first at Tonic Yoga in Northbridge.
As we know everyones reasons behind coming to a yoga for trauma workshop will differ. Those who attended I am very supportive and honoured to have met you and take these steps with you on your journey. Those who want to know more and perhaps couldn’t come to the last one here is a bit of insight…
The numbers are capped at 10 people, this is so there is enough physical space and emotional room for everyone in the room. All props are provided, we use the yoga mat as our base, bolsters, blocks, blankets as our props, chairs are available (variations for this are offered throughout).

This is a gentle trauma informed yoga practice. Come in comfy clothes, we won’t be moving like crazy and so please know all abilities and experience are welcomed. And as said above, variations, modifications are advised throughout. I invite you to hang up your ego at the door and enter with an open heart and no expectations nor judgement. If you have a physical ailment, this is still for you! Past surgeries we can work with, this is not a sweaty jumping about space. It is slow, intuitive and empowered personal movements.
There is no one size fits all. We are all unique and this is a safe space to explore what is within us and heal. There are no demands or ‘must do’s’, only reminders of awareness and noticing.

We work with the breath, the physical body, to find this communication. Accept and notice what is going on… You can stop at any point, there is tea to sip on too. Join back in when you are ready. Sometimes triggers can come up, perhaps in a strong or gentle way, this is a safe space for you to feel into as much or little as you like.
This is a workshop and so there is an opportunity to discuss but as these workshops are an inward journey; recently people have not wanted to chat much. And that is okay! After I hang around to have one on one chats and I follow up with you to discuss (if you want) where we can go from here. I guide and make suggestions the whole way through the 2 hours together.
